Re-installing the PDA Application on your Pocket PC
Situation:
My battery ran down on my PDA and after I recharged, MoldTech was gone.
Unlike your computer, PDAs do not have a hard drive to store data. All applications and files that you add to your PDA are stored in "Volatile Memory" which is like an envelope created out of electricity. If the electrical charge stops, the envelope vanishes and takes the contents with it.
Solution: You must restore the MoldTech Pocket PC application back onto your PDA.
- Recharge the PDA according to its manufacture's instructions. Place the PDA in its cradle and connect it to the PC.
- With the charged PDA now connected to your PC, go to the Start Menu. In Windows XP, choose All Programs. Choose the MoldTech folder. From the MoldTech pull-down menu, choose, "Install PDA Application".
- The MoldTech Pocket PC Installer Window will pop-up on the screen. At the prompt window MoldTech Pocket PC Application Install Completed, click OK.
NOTE: This will restore and unlock MoldTech on your PDA, but any data files, including your inspections and any appointments or phone numbers in other programs, cannot be restored. You may want to consider using a memory card (see you PDA's product information for the type needed for your unit) to backup un-synced data on a regular basis.
