Changing the Default Header Graphic on MoldTech® Reports

Situation:
MoldTech® uses a graphic file called "report_header_logo.jpg" to print at the top of each page in the reports it generates. It is recommended that you replace this graphic file with a graphic containing your company logo and information. For example, you may want to replace the header on your reports with a graphic that looks similar to your company letterhead, or to a file that contains your phone number and company name.

Solution:
If you would like to replace the MoldTech® header graphic with your own graphic, or with one of the header files provided by MoldTech®, follow the instructions below:

NOTE: Your new graphic file should be 360dpi, 7.5" W x 1" H, and in JPEG format.

  1. Save your new graphic file to the MoldTech program directory on your computer, generally located in the "Program Files" folder on your C: Drive:

    Local c:\Program Files\MoldTech\webapps\mit_report\WEB-INF\public_files\images\

  2. Open MoldTech on your PC

  3. From the Survey list screen, choose Configuration from the pop-up menu. When the configuration screen appears, a new pop-up menu will appear below and is set to General Settings.

  4. Click on the pop-up menu that currently reads General Settings and chose PDF Report Settings from the Congfiguration screen.

  5. In the PDF Report Settings screen, go to the field entitled, header_graphic

  6. Highlight the text report_header_logo.jpg. Delete it and replace it with the exact file name of your new header graphic that you placed in the images folder above. In the example below, the new header graphic is called "my_company_logo.jpg". Yours will be a different name.

NOTE: The file name must match exactly. Be sure to note any capital letters or spaces in your file name. Your file name must end in ".jpg" and be saved in JPEG format.

  7. Click the "Save Changes" Button

Each report that you generate from this point forward will include your new header graphic.
